This is Jesus speaking here...



John 13

34 So now I am giving you a new commandment: 

Love each other. 

Just as I have loved you, 

you should love each other. 

35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”



I believe we here in America have forgotten that the the way we love people is the greatest proof we belong to Jesus.


We've gone whoring for political power, influence, & white supremacy.

We've become judgemental.

We legislate morality.

We've become intolerant, exclusive, & inflexible.

We wallow in our privilege & hide behind a "religious freedom" moniker.

We wear our martyr's complex like a badge of honor.

We are smug, proud, & insufferable.



And one day, the world will have enough of us, & the Lord will too, & judgement will fall on us.



Jesus said in all 4 gospels that our responsibility was to love God, & to love others.

And here in these 2 verses He says that people are to know us by the quality of our love.



We should be ashamed...

...SO ashamed.
