Romans 11:29

Here's Romans 11:29 in the translation I read from every day.

"God's gifts & His call can never be withdrawn." (NLT, first edition)

Now, I went to Bible Gateway & looked up this verse in other translations.

So, as you read this, think about this:

Does this verse tell us that whatever gifts we think God has given us, or what gifts we think He has told us we have, are always with us & in us?

And, that whatever we believe He has called us to, or we know He called us to, remains in place, remains as a calling upon our lives?

Here's what they said - the translation from which they come is listed first:

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call].
For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]
since God’s gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.
God’s gifts and calling can’t be taken back.
for God’s free gifts and his calling are irrevocable.
God doesn't take back the gifts he has given or disown the people he has chosen.
For the gifts and the calling of God are without-regret.
God never changes his mind about the people he calls. He never decides to take back the blessings he has given them.
because God’s gracious gifts and call are not regretted.
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
·God never changes his mind about the people he calls and the things he gives them [L For God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable].
God never changes his mind when he gives gifts or when he calls someone.
For God does not change his mind about whom he chooses and blesses.
since God’s gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.
God never changes his mind about the people he calls and the things he gives them.
For God’s gifts and calling never change.
For once they are made, God does not withdraw his gifts of his calling.
for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn; he will never go back on his promises.
God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty—never canceled, never rescinded.
For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
God never changes his mind when he gives gifts or when he calls someone.
For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.
for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
For the gifts of God and his calling are irrevocable.
God never changes his mind about the people he calls and the things he gives them.
For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.
God does not take back his gifts. He does not change his mind about those he has chosen.
for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.
for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
God does not change His mind when He chooses men and gives them His gifts.
For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.
For indeed, the gifts and calling of God are such that he cannot change his mind about them.
for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
God’s gifts and God’s call, you see, cannot be undone.
For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.
For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.
For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.
for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
You see, when God gives a grace gift and issues a call to a people, He does not change His mind and take it back.
For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
God does not change his gifts or his call to people.
