loving

This is Jesus talking here, a few hours before he was arrested & killed.

"So now I am giving you a new commandment: 

Love each other. 

Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.

Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."

John 13:34-35

I would say that we Christians are known for a number of things by the general public,

but I'm not all together sure that being thought of as loving is one of them.
