2 passages

"He comforts us in all our troubles 

so that we can comfort others. 

When they are troubled, 

we will be able to give them 

the same comfort God has given us. 

1 Corinthians 1:4

John 13 

34 So now I am giving you a new commandment: 

Love each other. 

Just as I have loved you, 

you should love each other. 

35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

We white evangelicals have forgotten about these 2 passages - the first was written by Paul, & the second was spoken by Jesus.

30+ years ago we went whoring for power & position, culminating in Christian nationalism.

We should be ashamed.

But our arrogance & strong sense of entitlement & our utter lack of humility will keep us from seeing the truth, to our ultimate humiliation.
