Proverbs 19:21 You can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail.
How many of us really believe that?
Do we really trust that in the end, God's purpose, His will, will prevail?
And if we do believe this, how will it show up in our lives?
And if we don't, what then?
2 Timothy 2:1 ...be strong with the special favor God gives you in Christ Jesus
My Life Application BIble says this about that verse...
"How can someone be strong with special favor. That special favor refers to grace, God's undeserved favor on our behalf. Just as we are saved by God's special favor, we should live by it.
"This means trusting completely in Christ & His power, & not trying to live for Christ in our strength alone.
"Receive & utilize Christ's power. He will give you the strength to do His work."
So, if we are in line with God's overarching will & will for our lives, He's the One responsible for its outcome, not us?
And He's the One who empowers us (not each of us) to be the channels of that will?
And if we do believe this, how will it show up in our lives?
And if we don't, what then?
Think about it...
