Philippians 2:4 Don't think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, & what they are doing.
Have
you ever noticed that if you ask people questions about their lives
& how things are going, they will sit there and talk for quite some
time about themselves & their stuff, especially if you listen, nod,
& ask pertinent & caring questions about what the person is
sharing?
But they seldom have the simple good manners
to reciprocate the same level of interest in you by asking you a similar
question. And if, in the rare times they actually do ask how you are,
they seldom listen to you, & usually start talking about themselves
& their stuff again?
Am I the only one who notices this?
And why are people like this?
Are we that incredibly self-absorbed as well as bad mannered?
Anyway,
think about it - the next time someone asks you how you are doing, tell
them. But also return the interest & ask them how they are - and
actually listen to their answers.
