when we wonder or doubt...

I have refined you but not in the way silver is refined.

     Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering.

I will rescue you for My sake - yes, for My own sake!

But my work all seems so useless!

     I have spent my strength for nothing & to no purpose at all.

Yet I leave it all in the Lord's hand;

     I will trust God for my reward.
