Philippians 1:6

It's good to hold on to this word from Paul to the followers of Jesus in Philippi,

especially when it seems our life is at a standstill

or not meaning a whole lot to ourselves or the people around us.

These are some of the many different translations that can be found at BibleGateway.com

Philippians 1:6

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (NLT)

I am sure that the good work God began in you will continue until he completes it on the day when Jesus Christ comes again. (ERV)

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (ESV)

I feel sure that the one who has begun his good work in you will go on developing it until the day of Jesus Christ. (J B Phillips)

There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears. (The Message)

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (NIV)

I am confident that the Creator, who has begun such a great work among you, will not stop in mid-design but will keep perfecting you until the day Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King, returns to redeem the world. (The Voice)
