what stood out

Today, as a part of my sequential readings, I was supposed to read Psalm 37.

Here's the words that stood out this morning.



Trust the Lord 
& do good.
Then you will live safely in the land
& prosper.
Take delight in the Lord,
& He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust Him,
& He will help you.
Psalm 37:3-5


Be still in the presence of the Lord,
& waits patiently for Him to act.
Psalm 37:7
(dan note: could a shorter translation of this verse be simply "shut up & wait"?)


Don't be impatient for the Lord to act.
Travel steadily along His path.
He will honor you,
giving you the land.
Psalm 37:34
