"Don't be afraid.

Just trust me."

Luke 8:50


Jairus, an official in a synagogue, came to Jesus because Jairus' daughter was very sick & was in danger of dying.

Jairus asked Jesus to come heal her.

They were walking to Jairus' home when servants of Jairus arrived & told him his daughter had died.

That's when Jesus said "Don't be afraid. Just trust me."

We know the end of the story - Jesus raised Jairus' daughter from the dead.

Jairus didn't know the end of the story, but he trusted Jesus.

And the thing that was dead in his life Jesus brought back to life.


All of us have something dead in our lives - dreams, hopes, relationships - whatever.

Maybe if we simply trusted Jesus, like Jairus did, maybe Jesus would be able to bring it back to life.
