Today I again started to read through the book of Psalms.
When I started reading the Bible every day without fail (RTBEDWF) back in mid January, 2003, I had heard that Billy Graham read a psalm every day.
I figured if it was good enough for Billy, it was good enough for me ;-)
It's been over 7000 days since then.
I figure I've read through the book of Psalms probably 47 times.
I always see something new or different in the 150 psalms within this book.
I always tell people the smartest thing I've ever done was read the Bible every day without fail.
And it's been remarkable in the 19 years since I've been doing that how so many times, hundreds of times, something in Psalms has spoken directly to what's going on in my heart & mind.
That's the supernaturally amazing part of reading the Bible every day without fail - RTBEDWF
Psalm 1
1 Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
2 But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.
4 But not the wicked!
They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.
5 They will be condemned at the time of judgment.
Sinners will have no place among the godly.
6 For the Lord watches over the path of the godly,
but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.
