Just 1 verse today, but boy, howdy, what it says...
"Come to me,
all of you who are weary
& carry heavy burdens,
& I will give you rest."
Jesus, in Matthew 11:28
"Come to me,
(the God of the universes is saying here for us to come connect with Him)
all of you
(this invitation to connect with Him is universal - it's for anybody, anywhere, anytime)
who are weary
(yeah... who ain't dog tired these days?)
& carry heavy burdens,
(heavy burdens? who among us ain't totin' a load?)
& I will give you rest."
(I'd give everything I own for a little real rest...)
