2 passages

These are 2 passages that have haunted me for over 2 decades.

This first one is one of the most basic 4 verses.

It & the other times it is mentioned in the other Gospels form the basis of my belief in how in many ways following Jesus is simple - not easy, but simple.

If you boil this first passage down, it comes down to 4 words:

Love God, love others - LGLO

Luke 10

 25 One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”

27 The man answered, 

“‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, 

all your soul, 

all your strength, 

and all your mind.’ 

And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!”

And God has used these 2 verse since 2006 (I date verses in the Bible I use for my daily reading.).

It's like He poked me in the eye with these 2 verses EVERY time I read them, 

&/or reminds me of the first 11 words seemingly every time I turn around.

Hebrews 10 

35 So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. 

Remember the great reward it brings you! 

36 Patient endurance is what you need now, 

so that you will continue to do God’s will. 

Then you will receive all that he has promised.
