2 passages

These are 2 passages that God has echoed through my spirit especially since the beginning of this century.

In the first passage, the words, "give up your own way" are like a trumpet blast.

In the second passage, the words, "patient endurance is what you need now" is like a kick in the butt.

Matthew 10 

24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, 

“If any of you wants to be my follower, 

you must give up your own way, 

take up your cross, 

and follow me. 

25 If you try to hang on to your life, 

you will lose it. 

But if you give up your life for my sake, 

you will save it. 

26 And what do you benefit 

if you gain the whole world 

but lose your own soul? 

Is anything worth more than your soul?

Hebrews 10

35 So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. 

Remember the great reward it brings you! 

36 Patient endurance is what you need now, 

so that you will continue to do God’s will. 

Then you will receive all that he has promised.
