This Thanksgiving week, many of you will be traveling to visit friends, relatives, parents, kids.
Please be careful. The roads have a higher concentration of travelers than at Christmas because of the shorter amount of time we take to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Take time to stop, walk around, get something to drink, go to the restroom, talk, whatever. Try not to drive straight through. Yes, I know - you're 10' tall & bulletproof. Trust me, I done it both ways, at your age. Stop every 2/3 hrs for 10-15 minutes. You'll feel a lot more human when you get to your destination.
Drive defensively. As Pastor John says, "Everyone you know is crazy." That includes on the road. Just assume that everyone got their driver's license deom Sears. LOL
Watch the weather & drive accordingly. If it's raining or snowing, slow down. If it's dark, slow down.
Drive within the speed limit. You'll get better gas mileage. You won't get pulled over.
Enjoy the journey. Watch for things along the way. Take in the scenery. If you've traveled this way frequently, be on the lookout for things you may not have seen before.
I know - I sound like a spokesman for AAA. LOL! That's ok if it gets you there & back in one piece.
Have a safe trip! I love you
