whatever

(Well, evidently the devil didn't want me to post this, because I just lost it - my IE just jammed & I had to close it. Let's try it again...)

Hebrews 11: 8 It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.9 And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise.10 Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.

God asked a lot of Abraham. He was a wealthy man, & God told him to leave his home & go to a place He would show him.

Now, imagine the reaction of everyone connected with him - friends, relatives, business associates - his dad & his wife. Abe comes in one day, tells his people that they're leaving, he doesn't know where they're going, & he doesn't know when they'll get there, but that this God he's been talking to (remember they had LOTS of gods back then) will show him which way to go & when the've arrived.

Yeah, 'bout that...

But He went, & as they say, the rest is history.

God may just ask us to make a similar change in our lives. He often asks us to leave the secure & familiar & adventure out for Him. I kinda feel that way about His leading me to downtown. Boy howdy!

Pastor John says that if something scares you & looks like something you can't do on your own, then it's usually His will.

Hmmmmmmm...

What's He asking you to be or do that you just can't quite wrap your brain around? What's that thing He's been whispering to you that He wants you to do that kinda or really scares you?

Be it, do it - whatever He's drawing you toward, do it. It's all a part of that exciting life He dreamed for you. Psalm 139:6 says, "God both precedes & follows me." Iow, He's out there preparing the way & mopping up behind me. If He's calling you to something, He's got you covered, front end & back end.

Embrace the adventure He has for you.

Happy Thanksgiving! if you're reading this, you're one of the people I'm so thankful for today!

I love you
