pay attention

Psalm 123:2 We keep looking to the LORD our God for his mercy,
  just as servants keep their eyes on their master,
  as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.


So much of the time we make our plans & hope God will bless them.

I wonder why we don't just ask Him what He wants us to be & do, & then be & do that?

Is it about control?

Is it about me wanting to be & do what I want to be & do?

Is it bc I think (or know) that what He wants I won't like?

Or by not following the God of the universes, are we just being stupid?


These days, I'm living as the servants in this verse - I don't care what the next thing is from Him - I just wanna know - it beats being clueless.
