Mark 5:36 But Jesus ignored their comments & said to Jairus,
"Don't be afraid. Just trust Me."
In 3 out of the 4 gospels, the raising from the dead of Jairus' daughter is recorded - Matthew 9, Mark 5, & Luke 8
In both Mark & Luke, they tell who he was - Jairus. Matthew doesn't. Matthew just says he was a leader in the synagogue.
Both
Mark & Luke record the same words spoken by Jesus to Jairus when
Jairus' servants come to tell the sad news that His daughter has died.
"Don't be afraid. Just trust Me."
Jairus' daughter is dead - probably the most terrible moment in his life.
And what does Jesus say to him?
"Don't be afraid. Just trust Me."
Could it be that at the most terrible moments of our lives, Jesus is saying to each of us...
"Don't be afraid. Just trust Me."
