keep on

"Keep on asking,

     and you will receive what you ask for.

Keep on seeking,

     and you will find.

Keep on knocking,

     and the door will be opened to you.

8 For everyone who asks,
  
     receives.

Everyone who seeks,

     finds.

And to everyone who knocks,

     the door will be opened.

Matthew 7:11


These are words Jesus speaks in those 3 chapters in Matthew (5, 6,& 7) that we have come to call the Sermon on the Mount.

 Lately, whenever I read this verse, 2 words stand out...

     "Keep on..."

There is some sort of merit with God if we just keep moving forward in what we are being & doing.

No matter what,
   
     now matter how things look,

     or how we feel,

     or what the circumstances may be...

          Keep on...


This another one of those "if you do this, then this will happen." that Jesus says frequently.

There's a lot of them in Matthew 5-7.


I just wonder what our lives would be like if we determined to "keep on..." & live expectantly that "if we do this, then this will happen."
