"Don't be afraid. Just trust Me..."


This is what Jesus said to Jairus in Luke 8:50b.

Jairus had begged Jesus to come heal his daughter, but as they were going to Jairus' house, the servants arrived to tell Jairus that his daughter had died.

They didn't think it was necessary to trouble Jesus any longer.

And that was when Jesus said, "Don't be afraid. Just trust Me..."

Jesus went on with Jairus to the house, & raised Jairus' daughter from the dead.

Every time I read the story of Jairus' daughter, I am struck by those 6 words Jesus said...

     "Don't be afraid. Just trust Me..."

We know the end of the story - Jairus didn't - but he kept on walking toward his house, even though he knew his daughter was dead.

But as it turned out, Jairus didn't have anything to worry about - Jesus raised Jairus' daughter from the dead.


And maybe Jesus is saying those 6 words to you - I know He quietly says them to me each time I read the story.

But we don't know the end of our story - but Jesus does -Jesus sees the whole picture of our lives.

And he continues to say...

      "Don't be afraid. Just trust Me..."
