There is much going on now that we have rationalized as okay.




The poor are despised even by their neighbors, while the rich have many "friends".

Proverbs 14:20



It is a sin to despise one's neighbors,

     blessed are those who help the poor.

Proverbs 14:21



Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker,

     but those who help the poor honor Him

Proverbs 14:31




We all know what the prevailing attitudes are toward the poor here in America.


How do we square what the present attitudes toward low income / no income people in view of what it says here in Proverbs?
