1 Corinthians 10:13

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience.

And God is faithful.

He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand.

When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Alright, there you have it.

No excuses.

Read it again.

We won't be tempted more than we can handle.

God will always make a way out.

It's a great verse of hope in the face of temptation.

And it also doesn't leave us with a leg to stand on if we yield to the temptation.

Here it is in other translations, but I gotta warn ya – they all say the same...

No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance];

but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy],

and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist],
