Matthew
13:33
Jesus
also used this illustration:
"The
Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread.
Even
though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour,
it
permeated every part of the dough."
permeate:
to be diffused through;
pervade; saturate (dictionary.com)
So,
Jesus is saying here that we are to spread the love of Jesus in the
surroundings into which God has placed us?
Think
about that – what would our lives be like if we didn't hold back
but allowed God to take our gifts & graces & use them in
every area of the place we inhabit:
our
homes,
our
neighborhoods,
our
towns,
our
workplaces,
our
gym or workout facility,
our
favorite restaurants,
our
regular grocery store,
our
doctor's or dentist's office,
our
mechanic or car maintenance place,
or
any other area into which we frequent.
An
what would that look like? How exactly would we do that?
By
letting the love of Jesus channel through us, no matter where or no
matter who?
And
if each of us did this, in turn, what would our world end up looking
like?
Chew
on that one for a while...
