Mark 10
13 One
day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could touch
and bless them.
But the disciples scolded the
parents for bothering him.
14 When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples.
He said to them,
"Let the children come to me.
Don't stop them!
For the Kingdom of God belongs to
those who are like these children.
15 I
tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't have their kind of faith will
never get into the
kingdom of God"
16 Then
he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads
and blessed them.
And what is the faith of a child like?
They don't ask why all that much.
They don't have to be filled in with
all the details.
Their basic attitude is “whatever”
because usually children are just glad to be with you, doing stuff.
Their trust & contentment are in
direct proportion to how secure they feel with the persons they are
with.
Maybe that's what God wishes for us &
wants from us.
Maybe He just wants us to be in a
“whatever” mode with Him, secure in the knowledge that He's gonna
take care of us.
It's hard to trust Him sometimes.
But children seem to do all right with
that level of trust if they persons they are with are trustworthy.
Think about it...
