dead things

"Don't be afraid. Just trust me."

Mark 5:36 



Jesus says that to Jairus right after Jairus' servants have come to tell him his daughter is dead.

We know that Jesus went ahead with Jairus to Jairus' house, where Jesus laid hands on Jairus' dead daughter & brought her back to life.

We may think it's crazy that Jairus gave up when his servants told him his daughter was dead.

But we know the end of the story.

Jairus didn't.

But to his credit Jairus allowed Jesus to follow him to his home.

And there Jesus brought back to life someone who was so precious to Jairus.



Maybe one of us reading this missive today has a dead thing in their lives.

Maybe we don't think there's any way it can be brought back to life.

Maybe those 5 words of Jesus may be for one of us, too.

Maybe we're supposed to do what Jesus says...


"Don't worry - just trust Me."
