keep on...

This is Jesus speaking here...



"And so I tell you,

keep on asking,

& you will be given what you are asking for.

Keep on looking,

& you will find.

Keep on knocking,

& the door will be opened.

For everyone who asks, receives.

Everyone who seeks, finds.

And the door is opened to everyone who knocks."

Luke 11:9-10 (NLT, 1st ed.)



These 2 verses are only translated this way in the first edition of the New Living Translation.

I took a long look at these 2 verses a long while back, & I was impressed by 2 words...

"keep on..."

Those 2 words seem to be the operative words here.

It would seem that Jesus indicated here, no matter the translation, that we should continue to endeavor in whatever it is we are engaged.

We must simply continue to move forward, not allowing ourselves, our minds, our hearts & spirits to become static, paralyzed, or status quo.

We must simply "keep on..."
