Philippians 1:12b everything that has happened to me has helped to spread the Good News.
Paul was in prison - a shameful thing back then. And it wasn't a Club Med experience, either.
But
he goes on to say in the rest of the chapter about how God was using
his imprisonment. Because Paul was in jail, others,many others, we
stepping up & spreading the Gospel because they knew Paul couldn't
because he was in jail.
We are SO success oriented. If
things don't go exactly as we think they should, or in a way that
indicates success as our world knows it, then we're simply not cutting
it as a person.
We have to trust God that not matter
what may be going on in our lives, we have to trust Him that if our
lives are surrendered to Him, they will be an expression of Himself, whether that expression is successful enough looking by the standards of our friends & authenticators.
