This is Paul speaking here, in his letter to the followers of Jesus who lived in Ephesus.
He was in prison at this time.
Remember prison back then was no Club Med, Sandals, or some other all inclusive vacation.
It was pretty difficult.
And in the midst of all that, Paul writes this astound sentence of trust & faith.
Would that we had one tenth the trust & faith Paul had in God.
Each one of these translations gives Paul's one sentence a little different slant.
Of course, The Message paraphrase gets to talking & can't shut up! ;-) LOL
Maybe it would be a good idea to memorize this verse in whatever translation works for you?
By His mighty power at work within us, He is able to accomplish ionfinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. (NLT, 1st ed.)
Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, (Amplified)
With God’s power working in us, he can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of. (ERV)

Now to him who by his power within us is able to do far more than we ever dare to ask or imagine—to him be glory in the Church through Jesus Christ for ever and ever, amen! (J B Phillips)
God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes! (The Message)
