Jesus is the one talking here...

John 10:10 The thief's (Jesus is talking about the devil here) purpose is to steal & kill & destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.

So, there you have it, plan as the nose on your face.

The devil is out to do this: steal everything good in your life, kill your connection with God, & destroy your life.

Yet we listen to him all the time, rather than God.

Jesus says that His bottom line is that He's all about making it possible for us to connect with God & have the life He dreamed for us a gajillion years ago.

Of course, we follow the devil's leading b/c we're basically sinful - we're self-centered to the level of an art form, we are the center of our own universe, we think we know better than God when it comes to our live, & we don't think that the life He dreamed up for us is gonna be enough.

We basically want what we want when we want it, & we want it now.

So, what are we gonna do? Choose what the devil tells us to do, or what the God of the universes tells us to do?
