In all, thirty-one kings were defeated.
No, I haven't lost my mind this morning - well, not any more than usual ;-)
The children of Israel had just finished wandering in the Sinai wilderness for 40 years.
They were nomads, not warriors. Joshua, their leader, was not a warrior.
But God said if they trust Him, He would give them victory over the people who lived in the land God had promised to them - Canaan.
As long as they obeyed Him, their foes were defeated.
At this point in the story, they've defeated 31 kingdoms.
You see the parallel here for us, don't ya?
As long as the non-warrior, nomadic Israelites trusted & obeyed God, He came through in what seemed an impossible place.
And as long as we trust & obey God...
Is this for anyone besides me today?
