Galatians 3:26 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes.

28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile,
    
     slave or free,

     male and female.

  For you are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham.

        You are his heirs,

              and God's promise to Abraham belongs to you.


It's all about belonging.

We live in a day when divorce runs around 50%.

We marry, divorce, live together w/o being married, have sex & have children in & out of wedlock, remarry, blend fams, break up, unblend fams, ignore our children, abuse our children, abandon our children, are indifferent to our children, & a host of other things that assault the very core of our culture, the family.

And for many, this is the new normal.

So belonging is a tenuous commodity.

We belong to God. We are His children, with all the rights & privileges of children.

Not because we deserve it.

But because He wills it.

Just a thought for those who feel they don't belong to anyone.
