Psalm 68:5

Father to the fatherless,

     Defender of widows...

this is God, whose dwelling is holy.

6 God places the lonely in families;

     He sets the prisoner free

        & gives them joy.



19 Praise the Lord;

        Praise God our Savior!

For each day He carries us in His arms.

Our God is the God who saves!

The Sovereign Lord rescues us from death.



Father to the fatherless...

In a world where SO MANY people have "daddy issues" or terrible fathers or fathers they don't know, how can people relate to God as a father.

These next few thoughts aren't original w/ me - they are what I've heard others offer...



Think of what you would consider to be the perfect father...

Don't rush this process...

Just think about all the many facets & layers you would consider a man who is a perfect father would be & what he would do...

Now comes the part that takes a step of faith...

Now think about the fact that God, who is perfect, is that perfect father, & infinitely, INFINITELY more than that...

And He wants to be THAT Father to you...

All you have to do is accept it.



Do it.

You'll never, ever be sorry.

Trust Him that it's true.

You WILL find Him as the perfect Father.



I know this is true. I've experienced it. I live in it. You can trust Him on this.
