dead things

Don't be afraid. Just trust Me.

     Mark 5:36b



This is Jesus speaking to Jairus.

Jairus had come to ask Jesus to come to his house to heal his daughter who was deathly sick.

And Jesus was walking with him to his house.

Some of Jairus' servants had just come to tell him that his daughter had died.

     So there was no need to worry Jesus further.

But Jesus spoke those few words to Jairus & continued walking to Jairus' house.

To make a long story short, Jesus went to Jarius' house, took Jaruis' daughter by the hand, & restore her back to life.



As I was reading that, this thought dropped into my head...


I wonder how many of us have something dead in our life that we need Jesus to bring back to life?


And we don't think He, or anybody, can do anything about it.


Jesus says to each of us, no matter what that dead thing is, "Don't be afraid. Just trust Me."


And it we trust Him, He will come, take it by the hand, & bring it back to life.



I don't know who it is that may need to hear that this morning- that is, besides me.

But if that's you, Jesus is saying to you to trust Him with that dead thing.

     He can bring it back to life.
