Sometimes we need to think about the infinite sacrifice Jesus did just in showing up here on earth...
Philippians 2
6 Though he was God,
(Jesus) did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
8 he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal's death on a cross.
9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
"...at the name of Jesus every knee should bow..."
"...every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..."
Every knee & every tongue...
As I look around our world today, there are going to be a lot of people who are going to have a really hard time with bending a knee to someone they've discounted, demeaned, or disrespected at every turn in their lives.
And there are others who are going to choke on the words "Jesus Christ is Lord".
It is not with glee & gladness that I think of the judgement that some will face.
Why?
As I have said before in this blog, eternity if a very, very long time.
That is one reason we should not to hesitate share from our hearts of Jesus & what He offers....
...because eternity is a very, very long time.
