unique

Hebrews 1

1 Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets.

2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son.

God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance,

and through the Son he created the universe.

3 The Son radiates God's own glory

and expresses the very character of God,

and he sustains everything (the universe) by the mighty power of his command.

When he had cleansed us from our sins,

he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.

4 This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels,

just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.

I don't know if we appreciate the uniqueness of our God.

Here the writer of Hebrews plainly says that before, God spoke to us through men – prophets.

But now, God has chosen to speak to us thru His Son, Jesus.

So, iow, in this final expression, God chose to come & live here on earth,

among us,

so we could see Him,

know Him,

touch Him,

do life with Him,

& see how life should be lived.

That is the uniqueness of our faith walk.

That God didn't send us word – He came Himself to live with us & give us His word one on one.

In doing so, God can say to us, “I understand,” because He lived here with us.

He REALLY does know what life is like here.

Our God is not far distant – He's been here – He knows what life on earth is like.

Stupendous.

Mind blowing amazing.

There's nothing I can say to Him, share with Him, that He hasn't experienced Himself.

That's kinda really weird in a colossally wonderful way.

He knows what it's like for each of us.

Let that sink in...
