our job

Ephesians 5

1 Follow God's example in everything you do,

because you are his dear children.

2 Live a life filled with love for others,

following the example of Christ,

who loved us

and gave himself as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

And God was pleased,

because that sacrifice was like sweet perfume to him.

Ya know, the longer I read the New Testament, the more I think our job as followers of Jesus is to love people.

There just doesn't seem to be any overwhelming evidence that a different attribute or behavior supersedes the mandate to just be a powerhouse & channel of God's love.

I just wonder when we're going to start being & doing that.
