sending

John 20: 19 That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! "Peace be with you," he said. 20 As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord! 21 Again he said, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you."

In reference ro vs 21, my Life Application Bible says for us to remember that 1) it is by God's authority that we are called to be & do who God has assigned us. 2) Jesus was sent by the Father, just like we are, so we should live our lives like He did, selflessly & focused.

This is a versed used to call people o missionary service. But for me, it's always been a call from God to simply be who He ha determined us to be - geographic location is inconsequencial. We're to be who were are in Him, whether we're living in a tree in Borneo, a hacienda in Santiago, Chile, or a house in Topeka, Kansas. A person on mission for God (which is what missionaries are) is a person on mission for God, not matter where they are.

Just a thought...
I love you
