16 words

Give all your worries & cares to God,

for He cares about what happens to you.

1 Peter 5:7

This is the leading verse I feel like God gave me for 2016.

Those 16 words pack an incredible punch.

It says the God of the universes, who being & character are infinite & beyond our comprehension, Who keeps the universes in sync, CARES about each of us individually.

That must mean that He is aware of each of us in our puny & prissy lives.

And then Peter also says God is aware of us to the point where we can share with Him any &/or all of the things that worry us.

Any of them, &/or all of them.

We do NOT have to tote the load of worry at all.

All we have to do is hand them over to God.

These 16 words must have blown people's minds back then when Peter wrote them.

And I wonder how the people we know & are around every day would respond if there was a way for them to connect with the revolutionary concept that

there is a God “out there” who is aware of each of us,

cares about us individually,

& to whom we can turn with each & every thing that worries us or drags us down.

That certainly isn't what people think of these days about the God of the Christians.

Do we live out in & thru our lives that basic truth?

When people think of you or me, do they regard us as persons who show in our lives the truth of those 16 words of Peter?

Maybe if we each started living in the truth of that verse, more of the people who know us would consider believing it.
