Psalm 106:24 The people refused to enter the pleasant land, for they wouldn't believe His promise to care for them.
This refers to when Moses led the children of Israel to Canaan, the Promised Land.
Be the people wouldn't go in because they thought the task of taking the land too much.
They thought the Canaanites were too big, their cities too awesome, & the whole enterprise seemed all too overwhelming.
Iow, they didn't trust God to take care of them & make it all happen.
So, God made them wander in the wilderness of Sinai for 40 yrs until all of them were dead.
Before we judge them too harshly, think about this...
How many times do we not become something, or we not do something, because we see it as too overwhelming.
Iow, we don't trust God to take care of us as we head into it.
I feel like I'm in a similar spot as the Hebrews.
It feels like God may be leading in a certain direction about something.
But the thought of it is WAY too overwhelming.
So, I stand at the threshold...
