Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples,

"If any of you wants to be my follower,

     you must turn from your selfish ambition,

     take up your cross,

     and follow me.


25 If you try to hang on to your life,

        you will lose it.

But if you give up your life for my sake,

        you will save it.



26 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

        Is anything worth more than your soul?



So, how does that all work?

We just let go of our lives - iow, we let go of what we want.

And we say yes to the " -ever's "...

    whatever...
    wherever...
    whenever...
    whoever...
    however.


Simple?

Yes.

Easy?

No.

Worth it?

Yes.

Why?

Because if we say yes to the " -ever's ", that frees God to implement fully in us the life He dreamed up for us a gajillion years ago.

And who, in the long run, should we let guide our life - the God of the universes, or very finite us?

Yeah...
