LGLP

Matthew 22: 34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they met together to question him again.35 One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question:36 "Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?"
37 Jesus replied,
"'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.'*38 This is the first and greatest commandment.39 A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'*40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."

Love God, love people.

That's what Jesus is saying here.

The most important (greatest) commandment…

What it’s all about…

The thing that everything pivots on…

Love God, love people

How many of us do that?

How many of us let that be the basis of our lives, the wellspring from which everything else flows?

Love God, love people

Many of us are getting tattoos these days. Let me say right up front, I don’t have any problem with people getting tattoos. I wish I had one or two. I’ve seen all kinds of cool stuff permanently put on people’s bodies.

May I make a suggestion?

If Jesus thought this was the most important commandment, the wellspring from which everything flows, maybe if any one of us is trying to think about what to have tattooed (next) on our bodies, might it not be a plausible thing to have tattooed on us somewhere…

Love God, love people

Just a thought…

I love you
