child-like faith

Luke 18:15 One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them.

But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him.

16 Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples,

"Let the children come to me.

     Don't stop them!

For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.

17 I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it."

What does it mean to have faith like a child?

I think my son, Kevin Eakins, shared something once at a combined staff meeting that put it well...

He told us he has pics on his computer of him & his son, Trey.

He noticed something about those pics.

In each one, Trey is looking at Kevin.

He's not looking around.

He doesn't care where they're going.

He doesn't care what they're gonna do when the get there.

He doesn't care how long it's gonna take to get there.

And he doesn't care why they're going there.

All Trey care about is that he's with his daddy, Kevin.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Maybe that's the way we should be?

That's the kind of faith we should have in the One who holds the universes together?

Think about it...
