it's all about love

I am writing to remind you, dear friends, that we should love one another.

This is not a new commandment,

but one we have had from the beginning.

6 Love means doing what God has commanded us,

and he has commanded us to love one another,

just as you heard from the beginning.

2 John 1:5

I've said it before, I'll say it again...

it's all about love.

Even Jesus, Himself, said that people will be able to identify His followers by one quality...

that they love each other. (John 13:35)

But in today's world, what are we known for?

I googled that question – let's just say it wasn't for being loving & let it go at that.

How can we be loving?

Maybe if we understood that God loves everybody else in the world, individually, as much as He loves you & me?

Maybe if we saw them as He does – someone He lovingly created with as many hopes, dreams, & plans for as He did for you & me?

Maybe if we realized that Jesus died for each & every person in the world?

Maybe if we just understood that God loves His creation, & is willing to channel that love through us?

I don't know.

All I know is all I know.

And all I know is that we are called to love.

In the 1960's, this song was written. I think it says it pretty well.
