Psalm 42:1 As the deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God.
2 I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I go and stand before him?
a question dropped in my head when I read this psalm this morning...
do I long for God?
am I thirsty for Him?
I wonder...
or do I long for people's approval?
do I thirst for their love more than I thirst for an intimate - I mean, REALLY intimate hookup - with God?
do I spend so much time questing to be & do what He wants me to be & do that I may be missing the most important part of the whole God thing...
a personal, one on one connection with the God of the universes.
