worry 2.0

Don't worry about anything;

     instead, pray about everything.

Tell God what you need,

& thank Him for all He has done.

If you do this,

     you will experience God's peace

which is far more wonderful than the human can understand.

His peace will guard your hearts

     & minds

as you live in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

These are truly remarkable words.

Well, actually, they're amazing words.

This is the apostle, Paul, writing to the Christ followers in Philippi.

Philippians is a short, 4 chapter love letter Paul sent to the faith family there, chock full of all kinds of memorable truths that we all hold on to, whether we know it or not.

Maybe you should read it. ;-)

But look at those 2 verses I've quoted above.

We live in a world where it seems everybody worries about all kinds of things, all the time.

Some live with the stress of constant worry to the point they become depressed, sometimes to a clinical depressive level.

What if we believed Paul when he said to not worry about anything, but instead, pray about everything?

He said the peace of God would be ours.

Let me repeat that...

He said the peace of God would be ours.

How many of us would like to have that kind of peace, instead of the constant worry we engender.

Think about that today...
